Alumni Society Board of Governors election moves online
This year for the first time, alumni of the School of Dentistry will vote online to elect members of the Alumni Society Board of Governors. The previous procedure was to clip an election ballot out of the printed alumni magazine and mail it in. This year, biographies of the candidates as well as an electronic ballot are featured on the Board of Governors Election page in the Alumni and Giving section of the school website.
The board helps alumni stay informed about developments and progress at the dental school. It contributes to advancing dental education, ensuring a continued flow of outstanding student candidates, develops a wider fellowship among those who teach and practice in the professions of dentistry and dental hygiene, and supports activities that further the mission of the School of Dentistry. Elected board members will serve three-year terms beginning Sept. 1, 2020.
To complete the online vote, find the biographies of candidates on the Board of Governors Election web page, then click on the red “Ballot” button at the top to register your vote. The deadline for voting is Aug. 15, 2020.
