Biofabrication, a rapidly evolving field that uses additive manufacturing (a layer-by-layer deposition process) to engineer structurally tailored scaffolds, has been successfully deployed in medicine. Bioprinting, within the emerging field of biofabrication, aims to fabricate functional biomimetic constructs. Multi-material bioprinting is set to enable the fabrication of heterogeneous multi-cellular constructs for regenerative medicine and has the potential to establish personalized solutions to restore the periodontium. Recent technological advances have enabled the development of digital workflows that seamlessly connect the surgical and rehabilitation phases of implant treatment. The ultimate goals of this session are:
Regenerative Medicine - Harvard Medicine
Regenerative Medicine - UM Dentistry
Digital Dentistry - UM Dentistry
Moderator: Renan Dal Fabbro, PhD - Regenerative Medicine - UM Dentistry
Cancer biology and regenerative medicine are rapidly evolving fields, driving innovative approaches to understanding and treating malignancies. This session explores pioneering advances in eradicating breast and salivary gland cancer stem cells research, including regenerative strategies to manage hypo-salivation and epigenetic insights that refine clinical outcomes in head‐and‐neck cancers.
